So already, i’m into week two of half marathon training. Last week was an easy warm up that consisted of easy runs, and cross training. This week, there is a slight increase in mileage. Last night, I got 3 miles in after work, and this morning, I have a 5 mile run. I’ve been watching the weather very closely lately, because it seems we are warming up again this week into the 50’s. A week and a half ago, Jonas dumped 30 inches of snow in my town, and now the evidence is gone. Mother nature doesn’t seem to want to keep it consistent this winter. On that note, Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow this morning. Feels like spring this week already.
This past weekend, I managed to get out skiing for the first time this season up at Belleayre. I was so happy to break in my new Atomics, and I absolutely love them. It feels good to graduate to a nicer ski based on my skiing ability. Can’t wait to get back out there again soon. Great time with some great people.
For those of you who are unaware, I’ve moved the deadline for my half marathon t-shirt up to Feb 10th. In order to avoid late shipping (as in after the race) I would like to have the shirt made nice and early.
