This morning I ran in the Ridgewood Turkey Trot after it was postponed on Thanksgiving. I finished in 44:10. Not too bad for my longest race so far, and for only stopping twice for less than 30 seconds combined. My pace fluctuated a bit, but according to my Nike app my average pace was 10’58”. Not bad for me personally. I’m happy.
I still have a lot of work/training to accomplish. I’m in the process of looking for my next local race before New Year’s Day. There’s one on Jan 1st I plan to sign up for but I’d like to squeeze in maybe one or 2 from now until then. Also, anyone ever do a virtual race? Is it worth checking out? Or is it better to stick to organized races? Things to ponder. I may try one, but I think I’ll just stick to the organized races. Plus, it’s very uplifting when you’re running with a large group of people motivating and pushing each other to the finish.
Have a lovely evening everyone!
